I’m excited to share my newest body of work: Spandrel Spaces – The Art of In-Between.
This series is a culmination of a lifetime spent listening closely to nature’s hidden rhythms—underwater, in the rainforest, and in the quiet corners of the mind. It’s also a celebration of the overlooked: the architectural spandrel, the space between more obvious forms, becomes a metaphor for life’s interstitial moments—those liminal places where transformation stirs.
These new works are now available, and you can view the full catalogue here: Catalogue of the Spandrel Spaces Series.

🎨 From Ocean Depths to Forest Canopy
My life and art are deeply rooted in wild places. Years spent diving among coral reefs gave me an abiding reverence for underwater ecosystems—fluid, biodiverse, ephemeral. These qualities echo throughout this series in texture, movement, and color.
Since settling in the rainforest of Puerto Rico more than two decades ago, I’ve worked in conservation, sustainable forestry, and botany. These pursuits don’t just inform my art—they are my art, woven into the very fibres of each canvas.
✨ Painting as Ritual
My process is immersive and improvisational: a dance, a trance, a kind of spellwork. With brushes, fingers, wood, even a machete, I move in rhythm with the muse—never forcing, only following. The work is raw, intuitive, alive. In these moments, I’m not trying to draw what I know, but to reveal what’s hidden.
Each piece becomes a record of that exchange—of presence, of breath, of spirit.
